MSRO Science VP Jerry Hubbell Presents Paper at the 2019 North East Astro Imaging Conference (NEAIC) in Suffern, NY

In April 2019, MSRO Science VP Jerry Hubbell presented the work that the MSRO Science team had done in 2018 to develop a new instrument for performing high-resolution photometric observations of variable stars, minor planets, and exoplanets. This work uses a new filter-like device called an Engineered Diffuser produced by RPC Photonics, Inc. of Rochester, NY. Using this new instrument, small-telescope observatories can increase the measurement precision needed to detect and accurately measure and model exoplanet systems identified by the NASA Kepler and TESS missions.

The presentation was well received at the 2019 North East Astro Imaging Conference (NEAIC) held in April 2019.
